Salida de Espana

Ala and Anitha took me out during my last night in Madrid. We went to this pub that Anitha's guide book recommended (sometimes they are in fact accurate and handy). We walked into the musty, wooden bar, decorated with ropes giving the impression that we were actually in a ship. A couple hung out in the corner across from our table and an old man at the bar kept the bartender company. The three of us ordered our cervezas and were responded with not only our requests, but also with free tapas (little tuna and jamon y queso sandwiches). I spilled my beer by accident, but I had it replaced within no time. We shared a plate of patatas ali oli (notice, Arabic word) and we exited the bar with full stomachs and full smiles. Walking back to the apartment on Calle Arenal, we luckily stumbled upon the Templo de Debod, Egypt's present to Spain. Shipped to Spain brick by brick, it now presents the Temple precisely how it was in Egypt. We saw that the stars reflected in the moat which surrounds the stone structure. When morning came, Anitha and I went to get cafe at a New York-esque cafe. At 5 p.m. I left the apartment, first by waiting for the tiny elevator, second by getting into the little elevator with my big red belongings, third by walking out of the door of Apartment 6 on Calle Arenal, fourth by going to the ATM to get money for the Paris metro, fifth by giving Ala one of my big red suitcases, sixth by pressing the elevator button to enter the Sol metro station, seventh by boarding the metro with Ala, seventh and a halfth by mouthing the metro stops of "Principe de Vergara, Colombia, Anton Martin, Atocha" in my head, eighth by walking through the train station that is connected to the metro, ninth by saying goodbye to Ala and tenth, by boarding the train.
