Yesterday I was assigned to take photos of the Caixa Forum building, here in Madrid. Taking advantage of my task, I wondered into one of the exhibits. Alphonse Mucha's artwork is on display for the moment. You'll probably recognize his designs. He originally
was commissioned to make posters for plays a the Teatre de la Renaissance. The posters became so popular that people actually tore them off walls. His psychedelic colors and glam girls are key elements to his works. He hit it big in France, the US, and Germany, then he returned to his own roots - in the Czech nation. Besides his paintings, he created bank notes and stamps for Czechoslovakia, he played around with photography when it was just beginning, he designed jewelry, and all at the same time he kept to his humanist nature of reason, wisdom, and love.
What a wonderful man!
I came back to my apartment after taking photos, uploaded them to the company's website, then headed out to the Plaza Mayor to see the Mexican Food festival. After squeezing through the crowds, we were able to order and eat our deliciously expensive tacos. Then, after digesting, we came back to watch "Pan's Labyrinth", a dark and magical movie about the Spanish Civil War.
Today I woke up to blinding light and pounding heat on my face.

It was something like this ^
Later today, we are going to the planetarium. Hopefully, I'll be able to keep up with the Spanish space lingo.
